This morning at the Rockwork 4 Oregon cliff a pretty vibrant DU signal was
recorded from 1203-1206 UTC on 1017 kHz (with some domestic splatter) having
Polynesian-type choral music and a YL speaking in an unknown language. The
entire routine sounded very much like a sign-off

Your nice recording sounds exactly like music from Tonga that I've heard on
1017 for many years. I'm sure Bruce and Chuck would agree. Tonga must have
been on an extended schedule.
As the old DXers' saying goes, who else could it be?
