From Paul's comment I took a careful look at 1239.2 and 1240.8 using the
Perseus (with ~800' beverage in that direction) on a narrow spectrum span
and lots of averaging. I consistently noted a spectral peak on 1239.202
and 1240.802 khz which would be consistent with 800 hz CW note on a 1240.002

Barry,
I've heard word that there will be NO WARL 1320 DX Tests at all this year,
sorry to say. Mainly because WARL is now shutting down at about 10pm each
night and not signing back on till 6am.

Gave it a try, but not heard here in N.E. MN. Thanks for the effort.

Tried for WOON-1240 test at 0200 this morning, but no sign of tones or code
IDs in the graveyard hash. Gave up and went to bed at 0235. Oh well,
better to try and fail than fail to try, but it seems like this test didn't
run at all.

My attempt at the test was interrupted when one of our four legged children
needed a trip to the emergency vet shortly before the test started. I set up
Total Recorder to capture the test, while I tended to the more critical
situation.
The dog is fine, and recovering well now...and I made it

You have as much of a chance of hearing the test as I do. Set your little
radio, I forget the type, to 1240. Listen for the CW that will be sent. CW

You won't know if you don't try. All it takes is a radio and some
patience...and you'd be amazed at how well those sweep tones and Morse
