Blum's book on U.S. foreign policy: ”Killing Hope: U.S. Military and CIA Interventions Since World War II”, first published in 1995 and updated since, has received international acclaim. Noam Chomsky called it "Far and away the best book on the topic."  He is one of the founders and editors of the Washington Free Press, a freelance journalist, and editor of monthly newsletter “the Anti-Empire Report”. He is the author of several books translated into 15 foreign languages, including Chinese, Arabic and Bengali. He will speak on the topic “Imperialist Agenda against Muslims and Muslim World”.     Dr. Jerald Dirks   Dr. Jerald Dirks, a Post graduate from Harvard University and doctorate in clinical Psychology from the University of Denver has for years explored the similarities and contrasts among Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. His journey from former ordained minister (deacon) in the United Methodist Church to Islam inspired him to author four books; The Cross and the Crescent, Abraham: The friend of God: Understanding Islam: A Guide for the Judeo Christian Reader, and The Abrahmic Faiths. He will speak on the topic “Ummah’s Failure at Public Relations.”   Imam Siraj Wahhaj   Siraj Wahaj, Imam of Masjid Taqwa in New York, is a well known Islamic leader and scholar of North America. Imam Wahhaj has been Vice President of ISNA U.S. since 1997 and has served on Majlis Ash-Shura since 1987. Imam Wahhaj has appeared on several national television talk shows and interviews especially about his anti-drug campaigns. He received high praise from the media and NYPD for initiating anti-drug patrol in Brooklyn, New York in 1988. He will speak on the topic: “Muslims are Assets and Not a Liability.”   El-Hajj Mauri Salakhan   El-Hajj Mauri’ Salakhan is a human rights advocate, author, lecturer, and poet. He is the founder and Director of Operations for the Peace and Justice Foundation. He is the author of books; “The Case of Imam Jamil Al-Amin”, “The Message of Rachel Corrie”, “The State of the Union 2003: Don’t Say You Didn’t know” and “Target Sudan: What’s Really Behind the Crisis in Darfur”.
