The automatic line issue on a text document is still present. 

I had been using a series of dashes to represent paragraph grouping in a text
document. The text editor then started to insert automatic horizontal lines in
their place.

I went to the Tools / Auto Correct Options and removed every feature, including
borders, that would seem to affect this behavior. Frankly, the default value
for all of these should be OFF, imo. It was disappointing to find that the
changes would not take effect until I closed the Open Office program
completely. 

When I restarted the program and went into the document, it was better behaved,
but automatic horizontal lines at the bottom of the second page and the bottom
of the last paragraph of the third page cannot be removed. 

Very frustrating.

The line is the bottom line of the paragraph 1 line above. When you put the
cursor in that line, hit the right mouse button, choose "Paragraph", in the
upcomig dialog go to "Borders" and delete the bottom line by clicking on it.

Or mark 1-2 lines above and below the line. Then go to "Format - Default
Formatting" and the lines are gone. Just tested in a text document.

This is an automatic formatting feature. So, make sure that especially the
option in "Tools - AutoCorrect Options - AutoCorrect - Options - Apply border"
is disabled for "M" and "T".

Could not get either the sound or video included in the PPT file to work. I
replaced the video segment in slide #13 with one I had for testing, an mp4
file, and this was fine, the video played. I resaved the file as PPT and still
OK on re-open playing the slide show. We build Linux versions with gstreamer
enabled if available, and this is what I have on my CentOS 6.9 system.
Gstreamer  supports many widely available formats, but of course, not all.

Unfortunately, PPT format is not like ODT where one can investigate structure
easily so no ideas on format of original video included in the link. 

Testing with newer pptx which used OOXML might be a good idea.
