is it possible to define the style of the pointer for hovering a
PushButtonField inside the PDF (as a feature of the field itself)? Or is the
mouse pointer style coded inside the adobe reader?

this is a viewer thing.
You can however change the appearance of the field when hovering over it...

I'm a govt contractor on a web application project, and:
I recently upgraded to a utilization of version 5.1.2, since I had read that at
least version 5 was required for FIPS compliance.
I have noted that there are other algorithms in the code besides those that are
FIPS compliant.

That was what I thougth but, as you can see if you run my code, the
first line on the second page is misplaced. Isn't it?
