I think I'm asking a dumb question, but I'm running into a problem where when I
start X Windows on the PVR 350's TV out port, the X server gets to 99% of cpu
usage in less than 2 minutes, and nothing ever gets displayed.

Cameron, can you try tuning to 62.00Mhz to see if you get the same results?
If you have ptune:
/usr/lib/ivtv/ptune.pl --input /dev/video0 --frequency 62000
I will try this tonight, i'm in the same boat as him, and i also have
the same problem. i haven't tried tweaking the
What is the potential that the Hauppauge WinTV-HD will be supported by this
project in the future? Anyone know of any other Linux project that is trying
to support this card?

Kevin,
Am I correct when I say that this plug-in supports

the audio should be sync'd. try a skip forward or
back.
on mine there's a delay while it waits for the video
to start decoding. I may have accidentally removed

When I got my PVR-250 a couple months ago I had a same issue and after
many experiments noticed that tuner for TCL 2002 was set with
frequency off by 1Mhz and figured out a hack to correct that. I sent the
following to v4l list a couple months ago but only got one response
back with positive
Im getting this in my log: - any ideas?

I am, for the moment, OK with the fact that if I close Mplayer by hitting the
'Q' key things are fine but hitting the close button on the corner of the
Mplayer video window results in things not being closed out properly further
resulting in not being able to use or unload the IVTV driver until
Just noticed this in the tveeprom output in my dmesg:

Um.
What distro are you running?
Did you build v4l from snapshot? Which snapshot did you use?
I am running FC3 with the 2.6.9-1.681 kernel. I got the src RPM for the
kernel, unpacked it and applied all the patches that came packaged in the
RPM, but a lot of them failed and I am left with a kernel
Leo,
Which tuner do you use? Could you specify the full ivtv dmesg/syslog
logging.

Michel.
