As suggested Xv wasn't enabled in my XServer (I'd put Xv in my use flags,
but it wont add it without OpenGL for some reason).
After a lengthy rebuild, I've now got the following problem in the Xorg log

CX25840_SET_ACFG_DIS(0x01);
line from the cx25840-driver.c file and recompile the driver. That's
how I'm running 0.3.6p at the moment. Driver works like a charm.

It's still not showing XVideo in the xdpyinfo. Without
this XV won't work.
All the 350 stuff is working properly. I believe there

The make install step for ivtv should tell you that there are
duplicate file names and that you need to remove them. What I've done
is just erase them. They are all in /lib/modules/KERNEL so I figured I
could get them back again by doing a make modules_install in the
kernel source tree.I

that I am yet another user who is very interested in Closed Caption
support via the PVR-350 as well. I'm willing to wait if it's coming, but
