Hi:
I would like to know if anybody has had any experience with Media Player
11 in conjunction with JFW? I keep getting prompted to upgrade, but I
know of one person who has had trouble with 11, and my husband who is
sighted says it's set up a bit different than 10. I'm running JFW 7.10
My experience was less than stellar, but maybe somebody else's was better
and they will be able to advise you as to the proper course of action.

Hello listers,
Today I received an intrusting e-mail about scripts for Thunderbird e-mail
client.
Version 1.0 of the jaws scripts for thunderbird can be downloaded from

And you can get info on the scripts at
I upgraded to WMP11 but was already using JAWS8 when i did so. It works
fine, though some minor things are configured a little differently and there
is extra DRM protection over WMP10 (I believe). If you do upgrade to WMP11
and are not happy with it, you can uninstall it.

Hello,
what exactly does this website do? I don't understand how it can help to
read web pages since I wouldn't be on the website when I am reading other
pages.
Take care,
Lisa

Lenny was, I think, looking for information on how to create accessible
web pages not information on how to read web pages. http://www.w3.org
doesn't do anything; it's the homepage of the main web standards body

Carlene,
My work computer somehow installed Windows Media player version 11 during an
upgrade and I've had no problems. As you, I was hesitant to upgrade based
on what I had heard. I will upgrade at home too. I am running Win XP Pro
and JAWS 8. Hope this helps

Hi,
I haven't had any problems with Windows Media Player 11 with Jaws 7.1 or
8.0. It just takes awhile getting used to the new re-design of the menu bar.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I'll just wait until I am forced to
upgrade, or until it becomes easier to use, as Media Player 10 seems to
be working fine for me.
