Do an insert v in the application you want Jaws silenced in and then type the letter s for synsethizer. Press your spacebar and then press enter. This will silence your speech. To get Jaws back, just do an insert v again and speech will once again be activated. Denny Huff Gateway FT Blind. LLC.

Hello, One way to temporarily silence JAWS is to turn off speech in the verbosity dialog. First move into the program you are going to use to record. Press Insert with V to bring up the dialog. Press the end key to move to the end of the list of items and you will move to the speech
