I do not know whether this is the same in 2007 versions.
Its useful to know as the Jaws Insert F8 method does not always catch all

Thanks. I never had difficulty with other USB external sound devices. I
simply went to control panel and selected them as my sound choice. The
problem here is this unit is not listed as an option for sound to go to.
This was the only response to date to my post. It seems to me I

Hi Vicki,
What I've done is looked in the system tray. You can access that by pressing
insert F11, or going onto the desktop and hitting shift tab. Once in the
Navigation area system tray or something to that effect, arrow around. If
battery status is in the system tray, it should be listed.
Are you using Vista or XP?

Vicki,
I don't think anything has changed between JAWS 8 and 9 - the keystroke
is still CapsLock + Shift + B - so unless something has changed on the
laptop, it should work the same. You'll need to have the laptop keyboard
layout selected in the Options dialogue before the keystroke will work.
Well, I just tried that keystroke (as I had never known that before), and I
heard battery status not found. The laptop keyboard layout is enabled.

If your battery is fully charged it won't give you the status. Try
unplugging it and perform that keystroke again.

Otherwise look in your start-up folder under programmes. It should also show up
