Please can anyone help with this one?
When using Notetab JAWS speech is fine. However the Braille display
the cursor always starts off in colomn 29 where as I would like it to
start in colomn 1.
This is the same for all versions of JAWS from 4-10.
Is there a change I can make, or is it

I don't necessarily want JAWS to stop reading when it encounters an edit
field starting a form; and I don't always want to edit, either.

admitted sometimes I have to play with the jaws cursor to click on items
within the feedback forum, but once you know how to handle that well...it's
easy.

roll back to IE 7 by removing IE 8 using the Add/Remove Programs option on
the Control Panel.

inserted in a document and also how to remove manually inserted page breaks.

If the page numbers are in the header or footer you can delete the one
page number and it will delete the code that automatically shows the current
page number on all the rest of your pages.

Currently useing 8.1 with XP and latest Jaws 10 version.
Are later versions any better?
My main problem is the announcements of new messages over and over again which
is really annoying. We hav discussed this before and I dont believe anyone has

I was happy with JAWS 10's performance with Instant Messenger--which
isn't exactly what you're talking about, I realize--till the
absolutely most recent release of JAWS. That one no longer reads
back the incoming message. Gurhrhrhrhrhr!

Is there a short cut key for counting the words in selected text in MS
Word 2007. Currently I have to do an entire spell check before finding out how
many words are in a particular section of a document.

I just tested it, and alt t w works, but alt r w words just the same, and it
is the w007 way of doing it. The word count is located on the review tab.
Alt t does not take you anyware except to the home tab because by it's self,
it is not a viable keystroke. But, alt t w works. It's just a hold
