If you do it exactly as i said, it works properly. It's quick, and
that's what you wanted. After muting speech, don't press enter.

Yes, there is an option for Mute Synthesizer in the Default.JKM. You
there add a keystroke to enable it.

The issue was my phone program. I, with the suggestion of some one on
another list, went to add on manager and disable the add for the phone
program.
Thanks for the suggestion,

Hi,
I do not have any programs, instead I am wanting to know how I can get
started with my journey with creating my own music and songs.
Hi Donnie;
1. Get into the keyboard manager with JAWSKey+8.
2. Press ctrl-shift-d to get into the Default keyboard manager.
3. Now type mu to get to mute synthesizer.
4. Press ctrl+a to Add a keystroke to this script.
5. Press your keystroke (which could be, say, ctrl+shift+m).
6. Tab
Publisher isn't and probably will never be accessible.

Hi, Once you are in the default keyboard manager, press the tab key to
hear a pull down list of items and it is here that you can type MU to
get to the mute synthesiser.
It worked for me and I have set control+shift+1 as my hot key.
Hope this helps.
