Hello there;
I should also add, if you highlight a file or select a few files,
And wish not to use the applications key to copy, or just simply ctrl+c to
copy to clip board,
You could press alt+e and down arrow to copy.
Also, using the application key you could use the sent-to sub menu?

David,
When I go to my download folder, and hit tab, nothing happens. I can't tab
over to organize button, because the tab key doesn't function either. Alt E
does nothing either. It's as if, the download folder has anything that
works, unless I use up or down arrow. Jim
Hello there;
Is this the only folder where the tab key doesn't work?

yes, but I just solved the problem, aye don't understand why it works now.
Here's what I did. I hit my windows key, and tabbed to where it says Jim sub
menus. then, I hit enter, and arrowed down to download folder. I then hit
my applications key, and put download folder on my desk top. So,
David, the download folder on the Jim's menu is the one that came with the
desk top, and the alt F etc. all work in it, only if it is opened on the
desk top, not from the jim start menu. Jim

Are you aware of any accessible internet
I seem to recall something in the guidelines that if your post does not
concern using jaws with some sort of computer program and the like you
should not post it. I should recall that little fact because I wrote the
guidelines personally. The fact is I took a lot of time and effort to put

Hello Friends,
I must assume many know that in JAWS 11, which I am using, and also in JAWS
12, which many friends use and have told me, JAWS very often will not say
Copy when control plus the C key have been used to copy a selected item.
And the same goes for Control plus V to paste the item
It could be a permission problem on that folder.
When you moved it the path got a new level of permissions inherited
from the desktop.

Another similar problem I often is that the application key will not open
the context menu, likewise closing and reopening jaws 12 fixes it.

Hi Jim, when you copy and paste a zipped NLS book to a new folder, it is now
unzipped I believe.
As far as your virtual ribbons, go to the setting center and type virtual
ribbons, make sure that the box is checked to use virtual ribbons and tab to
the OK button and press enter.

Dear Graham and Friends,
Oh yes, that happens to me once in a while.
Not like the copy and paste commands, which happens or would happen 20
times a day if I wanted the command to speak, but once in a few weeks or so.
And yes, closing JAWS and reopening it resolves this problem!

Hello:
Does anyone know if there is an email program that will run on Windows 7 and
that is compatible with JAWS? I'm helping a friend, or trying to help him, and
tried installing Thunderbird, but I can't seem to figure out how it works. I'm
not sure whether it's me or the program having issues
Hi Deanne,
yeppers, there is an email client that works pretty well with windows 7, and
that program is: windows live mail. You can get this program by going to
Microsoft.com and putting in windows live essentials in the search field.
There are a number of programs that Microsoft would love to
Outlook should do the trick. It comes with Office.
