Someone has probably said this before but I am personally amazed at the
trouble Freedom goes to to correct problems with their software. I am glad
to have this list as a resource for problems encountered with what I believe
is still the absolute best screen reader in the business.

I might add that Eric worked with me last week exchanging a number of emails
regarding the issue encountered in the 8.52 update. That is what gave me the
direction to go so far as using the my extensions script file instead of
modifying the default script file which many of us have been doing

I have Win 7 Jaws 13 and sounds were turned on but seem to have disappeared.
I thought I saved the messsage in which someone explained how to turn sounds
on, but can't find it. Could you please explain again?

I have Jaws 13 on both my desktop and laptop and have had no trouble at all
with either of them.
If you need any help in navigating Windows 7, just yell and I'll share what
I've learned. The funny thing is, now I forget how to do things with
Windows XP until I stop and think about it

Open the Tools menu with Alt T.
Arrow up once and hit Enter on Options.
Once there, it'll land on Checked when starting go directly to my inbox.
Shift-tab once and you should hear General Tab.
When you're on General tab, right-arrow till you hear Signatures tab.
