Hi all, This has been happening more than once. When I am on a website like amazon, jaws nearly every day, crashes. When it does this, I have to alt tab to press alt control j to start jaws. For a few seconds, jaws says nothing, then it starts talking. When it does, it gives me this message.

I did this, I opened the docqument in the old style, and then opened a new docqument, and cut and paste, and now it does not say compatablity mode, now when I want to add it to the stream, do I have to resave it to html, or plain text! To place in notes folder? sue -Original Message-

Hi Susie q, Don't confuse compatibility mode with protected view mode. Compatibility mode just means that Word 2010 is letting you open a file from an earlier version of Word. You can still edit the document and save it as usual. JAWS just reads the title bar when opening the document and so

Susie, When you talk about adding it to the Stream, what do you mean, the Victor Stream? When you open any document, you can always select save-as and save it as a different version. I thought you were wanting to make all your documents in Word 2010 in the old .doc format. - Original
