Yes. Eloquence is the default but you can use other synths with JAWS. From JAWS 14 and newer Vocalizer Direct voices is also supported and they can be downloaded from FS's website. You can also use voices/synths that are SAPI 5 compatible like Ivona and Acapela should work fine as well.

Yes. JAWS+j to open the JAWS dialog, alt+o to open the options menu, down arrow to voices and right arrow to open the sub menu and hit enter on the first item called voice adjustment. Here you can select which synthesizer and/or voice to use. I have Eloquence, Realspeak Solo and SAPI 5.

This means that the web page was designed to work more like an application than a static web page. JAWS recognizes the use of more dynamic HTML code, like ARIA, and attempts to interact more with the page to get more information. This is somewhat similar to Forms Mode for Input tags in the HTML.
