Hi All,
I just cleaned out all my trash, and realized I lost the email that had the
link to JAWS 2018. Can someone please send that? The current emails on
that subject no longer have the earlier thread, and I cannot remember my
password that would get me into the complete thread. Thanks!
I work in Notepad ++ and occasionally Dreamweaver, but DW is a bit of a
challenge.
However to do this, you actually need to learn how to code in HTML and
CSS which isn't hard at all and IMO, much better than using page
building software.
Pages created by these 'page builders' are usually
Hi, is it possible to make a jaws pronunciation dictionary file specific to
a certain website? If so how? Thanks for your help.

I just tried again by opening the file first and then running the layered
commands and it worked. It didn't work when I hit the application key and
arrowed down to recognize with JAWS or whatever it says there.

Eric, I tried to OCR a picture of myself that was in the newspaper several
years ago that has some text in it but as they say no joy. Could you send me
the picture you sent Jonathon on the pod cast? I can post it for download
for folks to try out.

Hey everyone.
I'm looking at finally building a website. Just wondering what tools
everyone out there uses? I had some success with EZHTML in the past, I
think, but that's a really old programme and I never did put most of that
stuff up on the web. My girlfriend has a licensed copy of Ewisoft
I've downloaded and installed it. The installation process proceeded
smoothly on my personal Windows 10 system. Settings were migrated, and I'm
now running version 2018.
I'll use the bug report form if I uncover problems.

The one that excites me the most is the scanning feature. A close second is
the web verbosity. In my opinion this is the best Jaws release in years
it's feature packed for the user! Great job FS! Thank You for your Hard

Thanks for posting that. Edge support still seems rather rudimentary, but
surely a step in the right direction for those who are eager to use it.
These other features and modifications sound pretty good.

I wouldn't remove the Jaws 18. It might be nice to try the JAWS 2018 but, it's
just a beta, so results are bound to be sketchy at times. I guess that's why
they're just letting people try it out. So, keep them both, until you find
you're totally happy with JAWS 2018.

Hey.
I don't remember how well the Office 2K spell-check worked; as I said I
think I hardly used it at all. However the 2016 one worked pretty well. I
did find the behaviour was inconsistent if you didn't use f6 to brig up the
correct payne. I remember this being rather convenient because you
The first time I tried downloading the beta version of JAWS 2018, I got
an older version of the current. So now I have the current and an older

removing the JAWS 18.0 for fear of damaging the JAWS 2018. I'm

Yeah, I find I have to do this a lot with Jaws 18. Luckily it loads pretty
fast on my machine. I just ran the spell-check again and was encountering
the same problem as usual. The list box appeared to be there, but all I
heard when arrowing was a line from my document. I restarted JAWS, and it
Yes, just like in the past you can switch between versions.

Reinstall then because it has always worked from Word 97 through 2016 from
1998 until 2017 for me.
I never have used F6 in spellcheck, although it does have its uses, never in
spellcheck.

Press tab and you will be able to up and down through the list. Never have
used F6 in spellcheck not in 18 years of working with all versions of Word.

This is not easy as with tables, but there is a Microsoft tutorial on
reading text boxes in Word by using a screen reader, based on Windows
Narrator and JAWS. This is the direct link:
Sure. Just keep JAWS 18 on your system, access via short cut key, close
one and open the other. You can't have both open at the same time.
