Hi:
Quick time is a Flash player that's associated with ITunes. Though ITunes isn't
jaws friendly, quick time is ok. I have used it for a website that needed it.
Do you have ITunes? If you do, then you will just need to pull up Quick Time
from your programs menu though it probably would have
Hi:
It seems like everything I try to do with computers fails. I just installed
Realspeak, and can only find one voice which, by the way, I am not too impressed
with. What am I doing wrong?

I wonder if we could contact Grisoft, or if they would even care. I've had
really good luck with AVG, and so far they haven't made us upgrade. I'm still
getting the updates daily, so hopefully that will continue. Does AVG run with
JAWS, or is it the message center that's inaccessible? The

Hello, I am a current internet security 7.5 customer and here is my license to
prove
The license that you purchase is good for 2 years, so once you purchase that
license, you get whatever updates are available without having to pay extra
during that time. As far as JAWS accessibility, I'm having no problems
whatsoever. I've just upgraded from JAWS 7 to 9, and don't see any
I stand corrected. We're running 7.5 for some reason. I haven't tried 8. I
assumed we had the latest one as our license isn't up yet. Perhaps I should bow
out for a while due to embarrassment. I'd like to try it, but I'm afraid too
now.

Hi,
Hi Max:
I am using the full version of AVG with JAWS, no problem. What version of JAWS
are you running? Are you using XP as I am? Before asking for your money back,
perhaps you could speak to the techs at Grisoft, or give somebody on this group
a chance to help you. It's a great program.
Hi:
Though I'm not really having issues with Firefox or IE, my husband found an
internet browser called Safari. Has anybody heard of this, and if so, how does
it perform with JAWS? I opened it and looked at some of the menus. It appears
that a lot of the hot keys would with the JAWS ones, but
I don't have a numpad and mine works fine. You just have to use the function
key more. For instance the function plus left and right eaquals home and end.
Page up and down are the function plus the up and down arrows. It becomes
second nature once you use it for a short while.

Hi again:
Function plus 8 and 9 are the mouse As far as the keyboards go, you could use
one with a USB port, no problem. I had a couple of blue tooth ones for a while,
but they kept dying on me even with good batteries.

Hi:
I just installed JAWS 9 on my computer at work and I'm using a Power Braille 80.
It appears that since they upgraded Oracle I've had all kinds of problems, but
the worst one right now is that every time I hit the JAWS or PC Curser buttons,
which I have to do often now, the display says JAWS
HI: EVEN THOUGH i'M NOT USING THE DICTIONARY MNANAGER RIGHT NOW, THAT INFO
ROCKS. IT SURE SAVED ME SOME TIME. EXCUSE THE SHOUTING, BUT i JUST STARTED
USING jaws 9, AND FOR SOME REASON EVEN THOUGH IT'S SET FOR THE LAPTOP KEYBOARD
LAYOUT, i CAN'T GET THE CAPS LOCK OFF, EVEN HITTING IT SEVERAL
I have a Sony Vaio that works quite nicely with JAWS. I'm running XP, and am
not ready to try Vista yet, but that's totally a matter of prefference. I'm a
big coward when it comes to computers, and if it isn't broken, why fix it? This
computer would run Vista though.
