Actually, the pro version of malware-bytes looks to me like it claims to be an antivirus as well. It does real-time protection, but I wouldn't trust it without an antivirus along with it. Windows doesn't seem to recognize it as an antivirus, and I'm not all that impressed with its removal

I doubt it has much to do with JFW, for I have seen the same thing with Window-eyes if I move enough files. My best answer is to pay closer attention; when things slow down nuke explorer and relaunch it. There is also a hotfix for explorer and network situations, you might try grabbing it
