I'd like to add that one of the advantages of using the latest version of JAWS
is that, besides the addition of new features, lots of various bugs are fixed
throughout the year, from the time the version is first released until the next
version. FS typically releases minor maintenance releases
Microsoft security essentials is an antimalware package from Microsoft. It
meets one of your requirements, that being free, but whether it's actually good
is a matter of debate and it depends on how you spin the issue. It's failed
some antivirus tests lately and so I have difficulty
issues with, and may require booting into safe mode in the event that it
doesn't work out and you want to uninstall it. So your best bet may still be
AVG.
