Hi Ron, Holding the ctrl + shift, + right arrow, just selects the word. You have to then press ctrl + C to copy it to the clipboard. The key sequence you mentioned just selects the word. You still have to press ctrl C to copy that word, or Ctrl X to cut that word and Ctrl V to paste it

Hi Ron, The drag and drop feature in JAWS was never consistent and it has not been used by most people for years. The only way people get a consistent way of moving a file or folder from one place to another, is to just do the copy or cut, and paste it in the other place where you want it.
