When I had this problem, FS Tech Support had me run JAWS in default mode to see if anything in the User Settings folder was the problem. To check this, stop JAWS by pressing Alt + F4. Then hit Windows + r, to open the Run dialog, and type jaws12 /default, without the quotes. If this fixes
