Hi Dani,
Unless you have modified and saved a full copy of default.jss (and compiled
default.jsb) script file in your user folder, there's usually no problem
copying user settings between versions. For example, I always copy my
default dictionary and JCFs of programs for which I toggled Sleep
press control alt d to open the jaws menu and go to utilities then
import/export settings.

Not really, but if you want it to look look or react like xp. then
you have to use classic in a few spots like display, start menu
setting, and control panel.
Other then the look, learn vista, because its not xp and don't act like it.
