Hi Chris.
Have you tryed to start Word, before you are copying the selected text?
I have often copyed text from webpages, and when started Word 2007, annd
pasted it, nothing is in the document.
But if i have started Word before i am selecting and copying
And lose all formatting.

I'm having a fairly serious problem with Word 2007, in that when I copy
something from a website, especially large chunks of text, and paste it into
a word document, Word stops responding, and so does JAWS 10. I realize that
I have virtual cursor set to full text with onscreen
