I have a rather strange problem with Word 2016 but I had the same problem
with 2010. I'm running Win 10 1803 with J2018 latest, but get the same
result using NVDA as well. When I am in a document and am a

Why not try it with another screen-reader, such as NVDA. It's free, so
you have little materially to lose.

tab? It sounds like you might have just checked the applications that were
open in the application page. Use Ctrl with tab key in the task manager to get
to the processes tab and then check the list of items for

Temp files show up here too.
Whenever you work on a Word file, it seems Word creates that temp file.
I don't know the reason for it, but it is always there.
When I save and exit the file, sometimes the temp file disappears and
