Hi, this sounds like an issue to do with your video card and associated
drivers. If you can, update the video card to the latest drivers. This can be
gotten from your computer manufacturer's website or the Microsoft Update site.

programs page and download the mike and marry voices, apparently I lost those

I recently bought a Dell laptop, and I had a great deal of problems with
JAWS reading things as well. Mostly, I noticed that JAWS could not read
reliably in Excel or even Notepad. I also had a real annoying problem with
the keyboard. It constantly went into Vista's Sticky and Repeat key
I believe it's permanent.

is, though, sometimes Jaws will read what it's supposed to, and it
will do it for like a few seconds and then it goes back to not reading
what it's supposed to, i.e., tabs in dialog boxes, edit fields, and
the Jaws cursor won't

If you install JAWS 9.0, JAWS 5.10 will stay installed on your system. You will
be able to access both versions, as there will be 2 icons in your start menu
and on your desktop. One for JAWS 5, and the other for JAWS 9. So, you do not
have to do anything in preparation, just go for it

Oh, interesting. I have the same problem. I didn't notice it until you
pointed it out, as I generally don't access JAWS help on the fly. However,
if you know the IE keystrokes, Firefox is pretty similar. :)

the Internet with JAWS. It talks mostly about IE, but the keystrokes for
Firefox are almost the same, with a few minor exceptions. As has already
been pointed out, if you have Firefox 3 you cannot access JAWS
