Hi Shari.
Jaws is acting on uppercase letters, when used in Dictionary manager, so if you
are using a uppercase L twize in your word, HuLabaLoo, i suppose that it works.

Hi Vicki,
Yes, this is possible, depending on which version of Windows you are using.
In Windows XP Home, do the following:
1. Select the folder you wish to protect, then press Alt + F, for the file
menu, and then, N, for send to, and press enter.
2. By default, the first item in the list, will be

I am using the latest version of jaws and IE8 browser. I would like to know
if it is possible to go back to IE6 browser? I have used IE7 and and now
using ie8 and I hate the tabs. I would appreciate it if someone could tell
me how to get back to IE6. Thanks much,
Best wishes,

Right on! Sure does.
It isn't surprising if a word like hullabaloo, which is irregular in its
stress pattern, should throw Eloquence or any other synth off a bit.

Hello Vicki,
If you have sensitive information that you want to password protect you
might also consider using one of the free encryption programs for XP. I
have used Cryptainer LE on both XP and Vista machines and it works well.
The program creates a virtual volume on your hard drive. You
Would it be acceptable to you simply to uninstall IE8 and then disable tab
browsing in IE7? That would give you the benefits of IE7 without the tab
browsing- if that is your only issue. You will find it under Tools, Options,
and the General tab of the IE7 menus.

You should download I.E. 6 directly from Microsoft. Then, uninstall I.E. 8
completely. Finally, install I.E. 6; like most MS products, it
self-installs.
You might get a warning when uninstalling I.E. 8 that other programs
installed after I.E. 8 was installed might not function properly.
yes, it is possible to roll back.

Windows Internet Explorer 8 will be close to the bottom of that list; so
you'll need to down-arrow quite a way to get there. You can then
uninstall Internet Explorer 8, and be brought back to
I was presuming that Fred's machine was newer, and therefore would lack the
earlier I.E. versions.
Flor is right, though. Doing as I described in the previous reply might
cause minor registry problems.
