Hi
In the Text Processing dialogue box in Configuration Manager, there are two
controls that tells JAWS how to handle long numbers. The first defines how

default). The second tells JAWS to speak numbers with dashes as single
Look out for a JAWS 11 update which may have this issue fixed.

I think for XP users sticking with 3.8 is a wise decision. I know a friend

to hear that I probably will not have to fret about the JAWS activation
problems with Windows 7. I plan to update this week.

Hi
I started on desktop computers in 1987 and a couple of years ago bought
my first laptop. It is wonderful! Then I needed a second/third computer. So,
I bought the acer laptop that was on sale at the computer I love it also.
The HP laptop does have more features though.
God bless,

there is a good thing about laptops. if you have trouble with them, and you
need help, you can take it to a friend to help you with it. if you need
sighted help, then take it to them. that is why i like laptops.

Hi can some one tell me what it means by a cracked virson of JAWS? sue
Suzie, I now have a lap top, it's called a desk top replacement, because it
has a big screen, which I don't use, because I can't see it, but it has a
wonderful keyboard with a num pad built right in. I know a lot of blind
folks say you don't need the num pad, and perhaps you don't, but at least
It depends upon what you want. If you use your computer all the time in the
same place, then a desktop is the way to go. However, if you wish to move
around or take it somewhere else, then you'd want a laptop or net book.
It's all in how you use your PC.

It is a version of jaws that isn't paid for. I might be in trouble for
replying to this, however, I think people need to know these things. By the
way, it's an illegal copy.

One thing to consider about using a laptop, are all the things you may want
to connect to it. Unless you are very good at replugging all those things
in, it will remain on your desk.
I had thought the way to go, was to have a docking station, into which all
my add ons could be plugged, so
