Re: [JAWS-Users] Mazilla Firefox questions?

2012-10-02 Thread Negoslav Sabev
I'm not sure I understand right. Are you looking to download firefox 15? The
help system of firefox is on the web, not in a file since at least for few
versions back. Or you are trying to install webvisum and it asks you to use
firefox 12?

 Hi This is Vicky. I'm trying to solve my Internet Explorer problems, by
 using Firefox instead.

 Do any of you know what the command would be to open an U R L? Control O,
 doesn't work.
 In adition, I can no longer use the quick key F, to find the Edit field.
 Control plus Alt plus Home, does not work either.

 Any help will be gratefully accepted! Vicky V

I use both IE and FireFox, mainly because I have too much muscle memory

I have no real issues with FF, and find some of it's extentions to be

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Mazilla Firefox questions?

Hi This is Vicky. I'm trying to solve my Internet Explorer problems, by
using Firefox instead.

Do any of you know what the command would be to open an U R L? Control O,
doesn't work.
In adition, I can no longer use the quick key F, to find the Edit field.
Control plus Alt plus Home, does not work either.

Any help will be gratefully accepted! Vicky V

Re: [JAWS-Users] Mazilla Firefox questions?

2012-09-26 Thread Cristobal
If you're using IE9, then you're probably dealing with split buttons. I
access BookShare with IE9 all the time. Once you click on the download
button for a particular book, you have to press the alt+n command to bring
up the various buttons for open, save, cancel. When you're on either the
open or save split buttons, you can arrow down to the action you would
prefer. It's pretty easy.

Hi, I started this thread. I was asking, because I can no longer use IE9to
get my books from Bookshare, with it.

For some unknown reason, I am able to do so with Firefox.

 David, I'm late getting in on this thread, but what are the advantages to
 Firefox?
 I'm using jaws, and will the key strokes such as alt N when I download
 work the
 same way etc.? I have never used that browser and wonder if it is worth
 it? Jim
