Its been a while since you wrote the original message, but a late
answer is better the none :-) I´m using the Cygwin Version of XEmacs
21.4.5 under Win2K (while i have chosen the first by myself, the
second has been chosen for me :-|), so I think I can answer some of
your questions.
The 1.4 vm seems to run 1.3 classes fine, and even in this case I only
compiled this one file and patched the jar. If I had built with 1.4(javac)
and tried to run with 1.3(vm) then it would make more sense to me. I'm
still a bit puzzled, maybe it's a bug in the 1.4 vm that will be resolved in

I had the same problem but was able to trace it to semantic 1.4 beta 12.
I was able to show correct behavior by switching back to beta 11.
I was also able to get correct behavior in beta 12 by turning on the
semanticdb.

Just a quick note. I'm upgrading to JDE 2.2.8 from 2.1.6 to use the new ant
support.
I found that you needed to download the later (beta) version of the semantic
toolbar. You need to do this to pick up semantic-load.el (and various
others) which don't exist on Semantic 1.3.3. The file
Is there an RPM available for JDE? I have tried installing everything
in pieces, and haven't had much luck. I'm happy to admit I'm an idiot,
but also happy to admit that an RPM would make this process a whole lot
easier.
