Before I used JDE (or used it semi-correctly), I was using cc-mode, and setting a java-mode-hook to change customization variables (some "c-" settings). I've now stopped manually loading cc-mode (which fixes some problems in the JDE), and I'm trying to set the associated mode variables the proper way, through the customization interface. I was able to get all but one of the items set this way.
The part I can't figure out is how to set "auto-fill-mode". I'd like the ability to auto-fill when I'm writing comments, which this provides. I didn't see any obvious information in the user guide that talks about this.
