the buffer scrolls because of a variable called compilation-scroll-output
is set to true. Try looking for this
(setq compilation-scroll-output t)
in your .emacs file... my guess is its in there
Its a problem isn't it... I'm not sure where to start, but does the FSF have
anything that could be used in this situation?
