As a matter of fact, my hubby, David, understudied Fagin in a school play
(though I don't believe David was ever young), hoping desperately and
unsuccessfully that the boy playing Fagin would be sick. (It had been his
intention to play Fagin with a Yiddish accent). He never got to
im about halfway through the lyrics for the night
that evil haman died if any of you guys know the
night that paddy murphy died ill be glad to send
something along.

As a slightly amusing sidenote, every time I hear Fagin's name I think
of Donald Fagen, of Steely Dan fame. Would he be an interesting Fagin
onstage? I wonder how he would sing the tunes?

looking for professional, color photography of:
1) Klezmer bands in performance
2) People at a wedding, Bar Mitzvah, etc., dancing a traditional
Jewish dance.

What finger is making which krekhts is a very interesting topic comsidering
that modern fiddlers don't have very many living examples to peek in on. I
learned my Jewish krekhts from Michael Alpert, who usually uses the
little finger to krekhts, and he got the technique from Leon Schwartz
