I think Peter is referring to the Test Beans stuff. Yes, it's beyond
1.9.1 -- it will probably go into the new release (1.10?). It's actually
a work-in-progress: as it stands now it should allow you to write Test
Elements with (mostly) no GUI coding -- not only Samplers, but generally
any test
1.9.2 wouldn't be appropriate for the general naming scheme
JMeter's been using and would give people the wrong information
about this release.
1.10 and 2.0 seem like the reasonable possibilities to me, but if we
go 1.10, then where does that stop? If we do that, then we'll have
to have some
well considering the amount of changes, I think mike's reasons have convinced me 2.0
is an appropriate version for it.

I don't necessary see major revision number as breaking backward compatability. It
could signal a change or potential change, like the shift to bean approach you worked
on.
I think as long as we tell the users our intent and plans moving forward, 2.0 isn't
necessarily a bad thing. for
OK. I'm seeing that it boils down to a matter of taste/personal
preference. So, given there's two people advocating for 2.0 (Michael and
you), and only one for 1.10 (me), let's go with 2.0.
