Hi folks, thanks again for your support! Using onClick="KS_AtomeHervorheben(A" instead of onClick="KS_AtomeHervorheben('A')" did the trick and it is definitely better than using eval. And thanks to your tip Angel I am now able to switch between Jmol and Jsmol easily. I had seen this

Hi Angel, thanks again! Everything works fine now. I just realized, that my browser did not update Jmol after reloading the webpage. After closing the browser and opening it again, the up to date Jmol version was loaded and the function in question works fine! All my problems are solved!
