Thanks, there are a couple of JS frameworks out there to look at, but
as you say none are jQuery based.

Excellent plugin, first of all - I plan to start using it on client
sites which have jQ + Google Maps in the near future.
However, that's all it will be - Google Maps. I get the general
impression that Google's Maps API is far more popular than Yahoo, and
not just on this list -

So a quick question is, especially to anyone using it is: What
mapping service do you prefer? Google? or Yahoo?
I really prefer Google. I even use Google Earth + Trippermap to
geotag my Flickr pictures!
Yahoo Maps are still very bad on european countries.
The reason I ask, is
I never use Yahoo. I use Google for general quick maps and directions. I
use http://local.live.com for the birds-eye-view. That view is ridiculously
crazy.
It sounds like a good idea to go for just one map source and make it more
feature rich.

1) Why is this the first I have heard of this plugin? I use jQuery
throughout the site and would love to use it to handle some of my map

2) I agree with Glen
i have used google maps feature in quite a few applications now, and never
once used yahoo...
Regardless, i would say having one plugin per map provider sounds like a
good choice. Later, you(or potentially another plugin author) can write
another plugin for yahoo as well following a similar
