Hi folks,
I've some trouble with opacity in IE in relation to the tooltip plugin. So far the plugin used opacity only via stylesheets. The idea to set the opacity via jQuery isn't that non-obvious, but so far I never tried it. Images explain more then words, so please just take a look with IE6: http://fuzz.bassistance.de/tooltip/
