This is odd. The only time this error is thrown is when Java throws an
UnknownHostException.
Running the gem code, I don't get this; I just get a really long hang
followed by an OOM error. I assume this is what your yaml work is
fixing, but anyway, maybe you just had a random connectivity blip?
