Something to add:
In the case of the server that only listens on port 22, Dolphin even says
"Connection refused". I assume it tries to connect to port 212, which is
blocked on the second machine.

you can already use softether as a client very conveniently, just import the

always found that unnerving too, but luckily one can switch it off with 3
clicks. Cluttering the desktop with somewhat pointless notifications is being
frowned upon.

[UPDATE] Krita not detecting the os version is apparently not connected, as I
managed to fix that bit on my own and the line bug is still occurring; just
