Thanks for the quick answer.
pdftocairo -pdf y.pdf x.pdf
produces a file x.pdf which shows the correct result once opened with okular
wheras y.pdf shows the wrong result

zip files on smb shares open properly with ark.

well the command mentioned just does it
whilst you can turn the mobile (sometimes not - becaus the screen rotates with
the mobile) you can not rotate the laptop
