It could also be a bug in Plasma or in one of Haruna's dependencies.
It's really hard to say when it can't be reproduced.

Make sure you're not opening a file that you opened before. If you opened
before then it resumes from last time (can be disabled in settings > playback)

youtube-dl support comes from mpv and they already added support for yt-dlp.
Also, you can create a symlink to yt-dlp named youtube-dl or just rename the
yt-dlp to youtube-dl.
