Bug ID: 360113 Summary: Configured and Applied Screen Config do not match Product: KScreen Version: 5.5.95 Platform: Exherbo Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm Assignee: se...@kde.org Reporter: li...@bernd-steinhauser.de I'm on 5.5.95, but I've seen this since 5.4 at least. As kscreen does not (always) respect the saved config, I have to reconfigure my screens quite often and then this happens: 1. Move all screens (DP-0, HDMI-0 and DVI-0) to the correct position, select primary output (DVI-0) 2. Ensure that the screen positions are (0,0), (1920,0) and (3840,0) as shown by the position info of kscreen 3. Apply the config 4. Notice that the screens are not aligned vertically (i.e. by trying to move the mouse cursor along the top) 5. Go back to the kcm, notice that the vertical positions of the screen are now different, i.e. the middle screen is at (1920,40), but doesn't have to be that position exactly, the offset could be different. 6. Move the middle screen to the correct position 7. Apply the config 8. Notice that the screen's are still not aligned properly 9. Go back to the kcm, notice that (e.g.) the left screen is now misaligned 10. Align that Etc. If I'm lucky, I can get it set up within 2 tries, but if I'm unlucky, I'll spend 5min trying to align the screens. I really wonder how hard can it be? :( I'm not sure what additional info to provide.
