            Bug ID: 363864
Summary: KCharSelect shows glyphs that are not in a given font.
           Product: kcharselect
           Version: v1.11
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: lai...@kde.org
          Reporter: i...@zti.co.za

As per summary, if a font does not have a particular character, KCharselect
shows it anyway... not sure where it gets it from. But it makes font evaluation
difficult, since you are never sure if what you are seeing is actually in the
font or not.
Fontforge does a better job in this regard, but it's overkill for selecting a
character.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Seeing things that are not there.

Expected Results:
Only see characters actually in the font. Could be like Fontforge and show
thumbnails or ghosts of missing characters.
