Delete kdenliverc, did not work. It does not start.
I already tested with nouveau, nvidia 304, nvidia 340, and right now, with 340
installed from the nvidia utility, from root console

Thanks for your report. Can you try to delete Kdenlive's config file:
$HOME/.config/kdenliverc
and restart Kdenlive to see if anything changes ?
