Independently reproduced on 5.4.2 and KF 5.61.
Text silently erased after selecting text, navigating via tooltips and typing
somewhere else. This can result in mysterious compilation errors later or even
silently introduce bugs in edited code.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select any text.
2. Hover over a function name, and navigate via the tooltip to the function
definition (in the same file).
3. Start typing (without moving the cursor) at the new location.
OBSERVED RESULT
2½. Cursor is blinking at the navigated-to location, but the
previously-selected text is still selected.
3½. Selected text is silently erased (even if not on the screen when typing).
EXPECTED RESULT
2½. Cursor blinking in one location is inconsistent with text being selected.
3½. No text erased.
