I'm pretty sure this only happens after having put my notebook to sleep. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Put notebook to sleep 2. Wake up 3. send email via gmail Actual Results: "Failed to transport message. smtp.gmail.com: Socket operation timed out" and email remains in "Local Folders/outbox". Expected Results: send email via smtp Version is kmail 5.2.2 - this is not selectable in the bug tracker's UI.
