I tried KDE 5.26.2 now that the fix was merged and works perfect. No more
weirdness on the movement of the cursor while playing.

I have the same issue. For me, the problem is exacerbated by slow, careful
movement towards north-west. The issue seems to exist in any true fullscreen
application, as I have the same issue in the looking glass
