[krita] [Bug 361619] Input event lag/drop-out when OpenGL is ON with large window
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361619 Dmitry Kazakovchanged: What|Removed |Added Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED Latest Commit||http://commits.kde.org/krit ||a/31195a85a054e50af2d61ae76 ||4f341db12190f1e Resolution|--- |FIXED --- Comment #35 from Dmitry Kazakov --- Git commit 31195a85a054e50af2d61ae764f341db12190f1e by Dmitry Kazakov. Committed on 20/04/2016 at 20:03. Pushed by dkazakov into branch 'master'. Fix a "bended lines"+AMD+Qt5.6 bug The bug is actually in Qt 5.6. They decided to implement a motion event compression without *any* way to disable it. So we have a lot of events dropped resulting in "bended lines" on canvas. For some reason the bug is reproducible on AMD GPUs only, with openGL activated. It seems like either Qt asks for some synchronization, or rendering on AMD is just too slow. I don't know the exact reason, but being busy with rendering makes Qt drop a lot of events. Since this event compression cannot be disabled in any official way, we should start patching Qt on Linux as well. Yes, it means that Krita 3.0 cannot be distributed through official distribution repositories. Which means that Krita Lime will have to be shut down as soon as Ubuntu 16.04 will upgrade to Qt 5.6. Committed on 20/04/2016 at 06:28. Pushed by habacker into branch 'master'. Add cmake build support for recreating icons and cursors. If enabled with cmake command line option BUILD_ICONS and/or BUILD_CURSOR_ICONS icons and cursor bitmaps are rendered from svg sources by a qt helper application named svg2png automatically on building umbrello. Cursor bitmaps are combination of a cursor template svg file and regular umbrello icons. The cursor template svg file is added by this patch too. [plasmashell] [Bug 359077] icons frame size is too wide
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359077 --- Comment #10 from apache--- > Perhaps the issue is how big or small the icon is within this frame. Yes. But not only that. Actually the size of the icon is a consequence of frame size. Just notice the space below icon title "Konsole" and on the left and on the right side of the icon on attached "Plasma 5 icon frame size" screenshot. It also causes the space between icons much bigger than necessary because of this wider frame. In this screenshot Home and Trash could be closer to each other if frame wasn't so wide. I reported this bug because I find the way it was in KDE 4 much better. Icons in KDE 4 were closer to each other. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[ktorrent] [Bug 361997] New: can't resume torrent from system tray icon
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361997 Bug ID: 361997 Summary: can't resume torrent from system tray icon Product: ktorrent Version: unspecified Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: joris.guis...@gmail.com Reporter: edhamilt...@gmail.com I can suspend seeding by right clicking on the icon in the system tray. But when I try to restart seeding by right clicking on that icon nothing happens. I then restore ktorrent in its window and right click "Start" or "Force Start". Nothing happens. I kill ktorrent and restart it and it is not seeding. If I then right click "Start" or "Force Start" nothing happens. The app never crashes, but it never resumes seeding. My first attempt to fix it was to replace the entire ~/.local/share/ktorrent/ folder with a backup. But that didn't work. Next I restored from a backup the ~/.config/ktorrentrc file and ktorrent worked as desired. In the following "diff" command, I named the file that doesn't work ktorrent.problems and the one that works kept its proper name. Using "meld" shows that the lines referring to suspend are in the section called [QueueManager], and the line describing the state is in the section called [TrackerView]. I've added the section names to the output of "diff". [ed@arch /working]# diff ktorrentrc.problems ~/.config/ktorrentrc 42,43c42 [QueueManager] < suspended=true < suspended_torrents=99016b8d8b5a44c64955dbd337259b3b18430fc4 --- > suspended=false 66c65 [TrackerView] < state=/wABAQABA3UGAQEAAQAAAGT/gQAGAAABgQEAZAEAZAEAZAEAZAEAZAED6AA= --- > state=/wABAQABBEUGAQEAAQAAAGT/gQAGAAABgQEAZAEAZAEAZAEAZAEBNAED6AA= So evidently ktorrent is not changing the state of the torrent when I try to do so using the system tray icon. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. has happened both times I tried it, as described above in details. 2. 3. as mentioned, restoring the ~/.config/ktorrentrc from a backup enables ktorrent to work again correctly. By the way, I am almost positive this happened the first time using ktorrent 4.x and the system tray icon. The 5.0 version just hit the repository yesterday. today's configuration plasmashell --version plasmashell 5.6.2 ktorrent --version ktorrent 5.0.1 uname -sr Linux 4.5.0-1-ARCH A note regarding severity as requested below: I don't know if this rates as normal or minor. The workaround is easy if the user figures out what file to restore and has a backup or, possibly, edits the ktorrentrc file. I didn't try editing the file. But that doesn't seem like something you would want most users to have to do. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This time is > much better spent on the current set of bugs. I'm sure that's something we all > can agree on. Regretfully, I cannot. The whole point of KF/Plasma is to be more modular, not less, in aid of KDE's sponsored purpose as a showcase for Qt. As such, inverted coupling like this, to wit insisting on wayland support from the platform in question, is contrary to the aims of the overall project, and the clear direction set by core developers for the design. Even were it not, inverted coupling is ALWAYS a no-no, apart from the occasional exception for OS-vendor platform-specific implementation of a standard (at the level of using an implementation-defined path for the sh interpreter.) WRT "lists of bugs" are you speaking as a bug-wrangler, or a developer? No-one wants to add unnecessary work, but this appears to be an issue with bug-wrangling support, which is orthogonal to architectural goals for the SC. Stating that the split can only "be done in the binary packages" can in no way be seen as modularity at the source level. Unfortunately it also seems like a less reliable way to keep track of all change. I have stopped using damage events as from what you have said there is no way to guarantee that that they will show all change on a display, and when compositing is active they don't provide much useful information anyway. I'm not sure what you want to do with this bug. If you feel it's not actually a bug as the desktop is not required to emit damage events when it is exposed (because as you say, it's likely it hasn't actually changed behind the window covering it), then go ahead and close it. I opened it as it was a difference in behaviour from what I have seen in KDE4 and various other desktop environments. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
