[krita] [Bug 360725] [INTEL] Krita crashes when I click OK to close the preference window

2016-04-28 Thread tokiedian via KDE Bugzilla

Ah... I found the reason why this crush happens on my computer: I used Intel®
HD Graphics Driver Ver.10.18.10.3621 provided by FUJITSU, which hasn't updated
it since 2014/06/24. I downloaded the latest version from Intel official,
update it manually and the crush won't happen...

Holly f**k FUJITSU.

[krita] [Bug 361709] With more than 1 curve based assistant, zooming in will black screen part or all of the drawing window

2016-04-28 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361709

(In reply to Scott Petrovic from comment #9)
Yeah, I always go directly to Nvidia too. And that's the first thing I did
after nobody else seemed to have this issue. But it didn't help ):

After that I even tried doing 'important' updates via Windows Update, which I
dread because sometimes it hurts more than it helps. Nothing bad happened,
but it didn't fix things either. The next step is 'recommended' updates, if I
have the courage.

The strange thing is, it's not just a Win 7 issue. Both machines are dual
boot, the desktop is Win7/ Mint 17/Nvidia 750 Ti and the laptop is
Win7/Mint13/Nvidia 280m and I have the exact same issue on both machine with
each OS.

Which is just weird and me makes wonder if maybe it's VRAM. The 750 ti has
2048MB and the 280m has 1024MB. Does your card have more than that?

Also the whole screen doesn't go black just the canvas or part of the canvas.
It's hard to tell because of being zoomed in.

Besides zooming out, panning some of the image off screen will make the black
go away. The farther in you've zoomed in the more you have pan. Which doesn't
qualify as a workaround, but is interesting

   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.5.5
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: rich...@ytivarg.com

Application: plasmashell (5.5.5)

Qt Version: 5.5.1
Operating System: Linux 4.4.0-21-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
 sudo apt-get update
 sudo apt-get install nvidia-364

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

Upgraded to 16.04 yesterday. The update failed to fetch systemd, which later
caused an update crash. Used recovery mode to get the sytem up, but it only
does 640x480 (instead of UHD.) fetching new drivers when it happend.
- Custom settings of the application:

Note that this is a problem with Full Screen Mode (ctrl-shift-f ), not to be
confused with Show Canvas Only (tab), which of course hides menus by design.

Some of the #1 items already exists on the status bar with zooming, so we
should be ok with some of that already.

The toolbar is quite flexible and you can add a lot of actions already. This
might be a bigger discussion on how we want to keep everything organized.
People seem to really like customizing Krita with their own preferences. One
solution might be the option to allow people to customize what is on the status
bar.

Thanks for the report

That's exactly what the "<" arrow next to the file title does.

I'll add usability team here - guys, is that arrow ok discoverability-wise?

As for queuing, I don't think that would be something that we
would want to add, it's quite a corner case, sorry.

I am on a Windows 10 with NVIDIA GT650M. I cannot reproduce and get the black
screen.

I will say that I did have to update my graphics card drivers from what was
installed by Windows. Doing the "Check for updates" through the windows drivers
is not very reliable. I found out the model that I had and downloaded the
drivers straight from NVIDIA. That seemed to fix any issues I once had.

   Product: frameworks-knotifications
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR

Created attachment 98677
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=98677=edit
Actual interface shows too little information

Files copy or moves should show :
- source and destination folders
- total size to move
- ETA

Additionnally, it would be nice if we could queue them so there are only
processed one by one. So, along with the "pause" and "stop" buttons there could
be a "queue" button which would act like "pause and resume once other active
file operations are complete". To change the order we could drag them around

[konversation] [Bug 362404] Crash with ISO 2022-JP Charset

2016-04-28 Thread Otto Teixeira via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362404

In irccharsets.cpp:

Why this code?
if(shortName == QStringLiteral("ISO 2022-JP")) {
return QTextCodec::codecForName( "jis7" );
}
That returns NULL.

This one:
return KCharsets::charsets()->codecForName( shortName.toLatin1() );

Seems to work fine for "Codec = ISO 2022-JP"

After upgrading tzdata to 2016d version some of applications unable to
determine right timezone for all zones which belong to Kazakhstan. I personally
use Asia/Almaty (which is +06:00 and no DST) on my machine (Arch Linux with
Plasma 5.6), and it leads some programs to produce unexpected results. E.g.:
Digital Clock applet shows -12 hours from current time and Plasma Lockscreen
shows time in UTC. I tried downgrade to 2016c and it works just fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. You should have KDE Plasma 5.6.3 DE installed (not tested on other software)
2. Install tzdata-2016d-1-any package 3. Set your time zone to Asia/Almaty
3.1 Go to Lockscreen. You'll see that time shown in UTC
3.2 Add "Digital Clock" widget to your desktop. In settings of widget set time
zone to Local or Asia/Almaty.

picture of my cursor. Larger regions work just fine. In the case if an empty

OK, let's try a different attack. The attached callgrind output was taken as
follows:

- Run kstars with Valgrind but with callgrind instrumentation off (valgrind
--tool=callgrind --instr-atstart=no kstars)
- Use kstars and find that Ekos window freezes up; I can't cause close it or
cause other dialogue boxes to appear
- Switch on callgrind instrumentation (callgrind_control -i on)
- Wait a few seconds and switch callgrind instrumentation off
(callgrind_control -i off)

[Akonadi] [Bug 361737] duplicates values in SeenUidList and SeenUidTimeList until it crawls to an halt on saving messages

2016-04-28 Thread Albert Astals Cid via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361737

--- Comment #13 from Albert Astals Cid ---
Ok, i got confused by Laurent pointing to seenUidTimeList, so the problem is
duplicated seenUidList values, yes that's not good.

Is this something that keeps happening? Or is it something that broke at some
point and now works?

Because the code is pretty explicit in doing

if (!seenUIDs.contains(uid))
seenUIDs.append(uid);

So it seems quite strange to me that this would break.

Also are you compiling things for yourself? Which branch?

OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: general
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: uri_herr...@nitrux.in

When enabled Kate toolbar icons use the correct icons with the exception of
"Close document" this button uses [window-close] when it should use
[document-close]. The button clearly states that it's for closing the document
not the window and clicking it when there's no open documents doesn't close
Kate.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Kate
2. Enable toolbar
3. Change window-close to something else
4. Kate picks up this change

Actual Results:
Kate uses an icon that doesn't match the action

Expected Results:
Kate uses an icon that matches the action

This change is as simple as changing the line of code that calles for
window-close to document-close.

It is not duplication, it's the time each of the ids of the messages was
seen/saved, it just happens that they were seen/saved, that is not a bug and is
always how it has worked, unless you know how the code works and you can prove
this is a bug i don't see why it would be a bug.

[digikam] [Bug 362441] New: Use 4 digit year format instead of 2 digit year format ( additionally add seconds )

2016-04-28 Thread Richard Bos via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362441

Bug ID: 362441
Summary: Use 4 digit year format instead of 2 digit year format
( additionally add seconds )
   Product: digikam
   Version: 4.14.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Metadata-Editor
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: richard@xs4all.nl

Date modification using menu "captions/tags" from the right side bar
In this menu in tab "Description" there is the possibility to enter a date.
The date format is dd/mm/yy hh:mm

The date with the 2 digit format is sometimes changed from 1995 to 2095
unintentionally.
This happens when e.g. the date set incorrectly to e.g.

Assigned date: 01/07/1995, visible date 01/07/95

Assume 1 july ( 01/07 ) was wrong and should have been 14 july. So change
01/07/95 to 14/07/95. Looks OK, but at the same time the year was changed from
1995 to 2095!

This is not wanted!

Sect 2: please add seconds
To make it possible to have photos displayed in the chronological order make it
possible to add seconds in this time field.
I use the utility 'exiftool' to have seconds added to the EXIF field in the
photos. It's a pity that it is not possible via this GUI date/time filed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Digikam
2. Open a photo with the date set to 01/07/1995 ( 1 July )
3. Modify the day from 01 to e.g. 14 using the Date field in the
"captions/tags" menu from the right side bar ( in the tab Description )

Sect 2: seconds
1. See the time field, it is not possible to enter seconds in the field

Actual Results:
Not only the day is changed from 01 to 14, but the year is also changed from
1995 to 2095

Sect 2: seconds
1. It is not possible to enter seconds in the time field

Expected Results:
The year information should remain unchanged.

Sect 2: seconds
1. It is now possible to enter seconds in the time field besides hours:minutes
( thus hh:mm:ss )

Screenshot will be added

Also take a care of color theme used with DK. Look in settings menu for
details.

If you render the border frame inside the thumbs, take a care about thumbs
color content.

I think that we must to render a smallest thumb with a largest border in case
of grouped items. This will be the right way to prevent to overload the thumbs
content.

No. The LR screenshot is just to indicate how pro application do the job. It
just informative.

LR do no make better than us... That all.

The information in DK about grouped items is already here and at the right
place. Do not change it.

Just try to make the grouped border frame better, to render it inside the
thumbnails, not outside. The free space outside is too limited and make mistake
visually with large thumbs.

Commit 8c21ca3 broke the preview/opening of files. This is actually due to
ListJobs not autodeleting themeselves upon completion. This was introduced by
commit 4b67603 to fix bug 217836, which doesn't seem reproducible nowadays.

Even if it was, we would need a better fix, because this line is causing also

I have narrowed the problem down for my system (kscreen 5.5.5). No special
randr script.

Whenever I actually shutdown the computer (ASUS Z87-Expert) to power off and
restart with the power button the screen layout is corrupted. Right screen has
no wallpaper and the panel I keep at the bottom of that screen moves to the
left screen which has wallpaper. Applications "Thunderbird" and "Firefox"
are restored to their original positions on the right screen.

Logout of plasma 5 to lightdm and login in as the same user sets everything to
original layout and wallpapers.

Rebooting system (not shutdown) restores screen layout correctly on first
login.

Only actually shutting the machine down to power off state changes screen
layout. Logout and login again fixes it. I do not have any suspend options
compiled into my kernel (4.4.6-gentoo).

Thanks for the feedback.

to start working i just want to make sure that i understood what's required.

In the following image
http://valeriegoettsch.com/wp-content/uploads/badges-diagram.jpg

I'll imitate the following features:
- Stack (stating 1 of 2 -- where 2 is the group images count)
- the virtual copy (do i need to draw the turned corner to indicate visually
that this is a group ?)

What about the icon in the bottom right on which the number of grouped images
is written ?
should it be removed?

[dolphin] [Bug 362439] New: dolphin crashed every time i copy ore move a file with acl's that is mounted over nfs3

2016-04-28 Thread boospy via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362439

Bug ID: 362439
Summary: dolphin crashed every time i copy ore move a file with
acl's that is mounted over nfs3
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 15.12.3
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: li...@osit.cc

Hello,

i've running a Kubuntu 16.04 as client machine. As nfsserver is an Proxmox4.2
(Debian 8 Kernel 4.4). Shares are mounted over FSTAB with ACLoption. So at the
most time when i copy ore move a file in or from an ACLplace dolphin crashed
with errermessage "Permissions can not be changed PID: 11374 Signal:
Segmentation fault"

But all changes are done. Everything is fine, only dolphin crashed. With Ubuntu
16.04 nautilus an copy over CMD everything goes fine. Strange thing is, when i
say:

mount | grep acl

nothing is going. On an older clientsystem like Ubuntu 14.04 there is this
flag. But yes it works over CMD and nautilus, so i thing this is new and
normal.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add an nfsshare:
/export *(acl,async,no_subtree_check,fsid=0,rw)
/home *(acl,async,no_subtree_check,rw,no_root_squash)

2. Set the mount in fstab:
nfsserver:/home/ /home/daten_nfsserver/ nfs
rw,_netdev,acl,intr,soft,bg,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 0

3. copy ore move some files with acl's

Actual Results:
It copies but dolphin crashes

Expected Results:
:) not crashing

Hi Aleix,

Could you take a stab at making a libPurpose plugin for ownCloud, when you have
some free time? I'll be glad to help (or even do it), but I'm busy with college

[krita] [Bug 362437] New: Problem with the onion skin when inserting new keyframes (and some onion skin's issues)

2016-04-28 Thread Kalesi via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362437

Bug ID: 362437
Summary: Problem with the onion skin when inserting new
keyframes (and some onion skin's issues)
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.0 Beta
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Animation
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: jaquematealakal...@gmail.com

I was testing the beta making some animations and I realize that when I insert
a new keyframe (onion skin is activated), the old keyframe disappears instead
of turning into red and lowing its opacity. Also, when I come back to the first
keyframe and then to the new keyframe, the old one will be fine this time (red
and low opacity).

Another issue that I've noticed is that, when you jump between keyframes, the
opacity and color of the frames get pretty messed up. For example, let's say I
have 3 keyframes (1, 2 and 3). If I'm working on the keyframe 3 and the jump
back to the frame 2 everything works fine (the opacity and the color of the
next frame are ok according to the onion skin presets) However, if I then jump
to the frame 1 and then to the frame 3 the line becomes dark green instead of
just black (assuming I'm using black as the color of the line)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1 - Open a new file
2 - Make a keyframe
3 - Make sure to turn ON the onion skin with colors (red and green)
4 - Draw something
5 - Create a new keyframe (few frames forward in the animation timeline)
6 - The previous keyframe will disappear instead of being affected by the onion
skin

Actual Results:
The previous keyframe will disappear instead of being affected by the onion
skin

Expected Results:
The previous keyframe should be red and low opacity (affected by the onion
skin)

I see that there's a patch for version 2.8.1 but I can't see the checkbox in
3.0.2. why?

[plasmashell] [Bug 356479] plasmashell uses 100% CPU when there is an animation in the task bar

I can confirm the bug on Manjaro Plasma 5.6.3 with KFramework 5.21. When I
close the octopi-notifier, the plasmashell CPU usage goes away. Until than it
is 2-4% and it is increasing.

[Spectacle] [Bug 362433] New: Feature request: Add the ability to "upload" to owncloud and share the link

2016-04-28 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362433

Bug ID: 362433
Summary: Feature request: Add the ability to "upload" to
owncloud and share the link
   Product: Spectacle
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com
  Reporter: ci3...@gmail.com

Since dolphin has the ability to share an owncloud link, it would be quite
interesting to have this ability in Spectacle, too.
Saying in more concrete: You take a screenshot and could "upload" it with one
click into a specific owncloud folder and then the public link is displayed or
copied to the clipboard. The uploading and sharing part could be done with the
sync client I think.

Reproducible: Always

[frameworks-knotifications] [Bug 337276] Sound will not play when Notification even fired

2016-04-28 Thread Rex Dieter via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337276

Another datapoint:

audio file entries of the form:
/usr/share/sounds/KDE-Im-Cant-Connect.ogg
do not work, but:
file:///usr/share/sounds/KDE-Im-Cant-Connect.ogg
does play, so seems it has something to do with URL scheme, or lack thereof.

Hi,

Please accept my apologies for this out of bandwidth response.

Maybe "we" should abandon all the distributions that use 5.5 and go with
Fedora Rawhide? I'm sure that would get someone's attention. I use Fedora 23
and Rawhide (24) and don't seem to have these problems.

George...

I'm using kde Neon at the moment. I read that they made a whitelist option but
on my system it is still not there. I guess I have to be a little patient.
