Greyed out with show email option

When I get system tray notification of a new email in my imap inbox, if I click
on "show email" from the notification to show it, the option to "move to
wastebin" is greyed out, as is the option to use the 'del' key or "select
file->move to wastebin"; however the trash icon is usually visible and active I
can click on that to trash the email.

Once the email is visible in the preview window, if I select it, the "move to
wastebin" option is no longer greyed out. Additionally if I double click on the
mail to open it in its own window, the option is also not greyed out.

Many of the items in the NGC catalog (e.g., NGC 5634) and some Messier items
(like M6) have the magnitudes missing in the Details section (right click on
object in the sky map, and select Details). These objects do have magnitudes
listed in Wiki and in a program like Stellarium.

The problem manifests in the Tools -> What's Up Tonight window. One of the
selection criteria is Show Object Brighter Than a selectable magnitude. If the
magnitude of the object is blank in the database, the object will not be listed
as a viewable in the Matching Object column even though the object may indeed
be seen with a small telescope.

Version was 2.7.2

BTW how do you think if Amarok had its own repository of volunteer submitted

I tested neon 5.10.2 and it works correctly in it,
it has plasma version - 5.10.2
framework version - 5.35.0
Qt version 5.9.0

However when I test Opensuse tumbleweed, it is not working in it
tumbleweed has these versions of kde at the moment of testing

plasma version 5.10.2
fremework version - 5.34.0
Qt version - 5.9.0

Is there anything else that can pin point to the problem maker package.

[tellico] [Bug 378477] Can't see the star icon in the column view and in the entry editor

2017-06-26 Thread Robby Stephenson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378477

If I understand you correctly, I think I'm following the spirit of what you're
saying. For icons which could be expected to be in the icon theme, I use
QIcon::fromTheme() with the method call that falls back to a resource icon. For
example, QIcon::fromTheme("checkmark", QIcon(":/icons/checkmark")).

For icons which I specifically don't want to be themed, then I just use the
resource call. An example there would be wine.png which represents a wine
bottle in Tellico. Many themes could reasonably be expected to have an
application icon for WINE instead so I wouldn't want to use the theme icon in
that case.

For whatever reason, the two users who reported the bug did not see the icons
as installed. I could not reproduce the problem since they showed up just fine
for me. I don't know if it is a Debian/Ubuntu issue or something else. If
indeed this fixes the problem for those users, seems like a win/win to me.

When using the Lens Distortion tool in Image Editor, you have the option to
fill in the blanks for lens and manufacturers for when Digikam can't scrape all
the proper metadata. In my case, I have a Nikon D3400 with the kit 18-55mm
lens. The problem is that Digikam doesn't recognize the D3400 model and the
camera doesn't properly record lens metadata.

Since I'm processing pictures that all come from the same camera and lens,
would it be possible to have an option added where Digikam uses metadata for
certain, reliable options (focal length, aperture, etc.) and manually set other
ones?

Astrocalculator, Day Duration module, Day length in wrong format:

Instead of format "h:m:s AP t" should be in format "hh:mm:ss"

Eg.

Day length: 3:25:06 PM EEST (point in time)

Day length: 15:25:06 (duration / timespan)

Probable cause:
modcalcdaylength.cpp, line 147: daylengthString =
QLocale().toString(daylength);

Possible fix:

daylengthString = daylength.toString("hh:mm:ss");
or
daylengthString = daylength.toString(Qt::ISODate);

The attached patches for register allocator v3 are able to drive simple

There is still some functionality to be implemented, though.

The problem is that the crash dialog never appears, I don't see ever anywhere.
The panel will simply recover and I will never get such a crash dialog to be
able to report this. Is there anything else I can do that will give useful
information? Maybe an attachment from /var/log/syslog ? Because I never see
something like that appear.

2017-06-26 Thread bugzilla_noreply

Bug ID: 381700
Summary: Plamsa 5 panel crashes randomly on KDE Neon 5.10.2
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.10.2
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: eastapol...@yahoo.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Hello, the plasma 5 panel crashes randomly on KDE Neon 5.10.2. This happens
with the nouveau and proprietary nvidia drivers. Here is my PC specs, hopefully
this might help with the issue because others I have talked to do not have this
issue so this may be a problem with my hardware, not sure.

Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
CPU: AMD FX 8320
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 950

Also I would like to add that when the panel crashes it reappears like 2
seconds later and everything works fine again but it does that all the time
randomly.

3rd time lucky.

QDesktopServices::storageLocationImpl
just returns writableLocation(QStandardPaths::DesktopLocation) with no changes,
so worst case it's exactly the same as before.

Also from my reading of qstandardpaths_unix it doesn't check the directory
exists at all; so we don't need the if (path ==home()) check.

There is a proposed fix in newer DBus where we will copy service files into
/run somewhere and have this solvable per session.

Till then DBus activation with two desktops is a slighlty rubbish area and
there is no good fix.

You can solve it by autostarting xfce-notifyd with your session
also you can override .service files in your ~/.local/share.

I believe the default workspace is set to "Layout: Folder View", which may have

does. It may be worth trying "Layout: Desktop Containment" and see if anything
changes. Do a full reboot afterwards; a simple X restart did not have an
effect for me.

In my case they are. I removed all FolderViews and rebooted (just restarting X

[dolphin] [Bug 381647] possibiity to access hd/ssd partitions when right click on icon pinned to task manager

2017-06-26 Thread Christoph Feck

Merci. Feel free to re-assign if you believe this could be an option for
Plasma's task manager.

I am not sure we should add all partitions by default, especially because the
names they have (or get from Solid?) tend to be terrible and confusing.

Did this just recently start happening? If so, that sounds like a user or
package configuration issue; check System Settings > Startup and Shutdown >
Autostart. Especially if it's been happening since day 1, it's more likely a
downstream distro configuration issue. Please report this to the Linux Mint
folks. I wasn't able to find a KDE-specific repo to report bugs on, and at
http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3282, they ask people to report bugs in the
comments to that blog post. So you can report it there.

No, not at the moment.

There is 1 possibility: Qt itself reparents actions that are added to a menu
that's part of a native menubar.

I guess I might hope to get some answers by breaking in QAction::setMenu() if
it's called with a NULL pointer?

[neon] [Bug 381698] New: black screen at reboot after installing proprietary amdgpu-pro driver on user LTS edition

2017-06-26 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381698

Bug ID: 381698
Summary: black screen at reboot after installing proprietary
amdgpu-pro driver on user LTS edition
   Product: neon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Live/Install images
  Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: publicbo...@gmail.com
CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi there,

Because neon derives from ubuntu, one can install the graphic card proprietary
driver from AMD on neon LTS by simply editing the install script from AMD.
However the result is a black screen at reboot with last revision of kernel
4.8. I have tried also kernel 4.10 and 4.11 with no much success, although in
these 2 cases, there is some output at reboot but only console.

This seems to be somewhat neon specific. The same hack of the install script
allows to get the amdgpu-pro driver installed on linux mint kde edition (18.1
and 18.2 beta) and KDE is up and running fine at reboot. I did not try with
kubuntu or neon user non LTS edition.

Would be great to investigate and get this working, I found neon LTS pretty
stable during test but being unable to run the AMD proprietary driver is a no
go for me (openCL)

Let me know if I can help more

I've checked that DK had the same metadata configuration on both side, Linux
and Windows.
On Linux the appimage shows the same issue while on windows all seem ok and
fluid.
Some comments for Linux:
- On the attachment we see a single point, where longitude and latitude are
null.
- What does mean the "2E4" where we should have the number of images ?
- The thumbnails view remain empty
- If I try to play a little with the buttons DK freezes

Probably a regression caused by the gstreamer 1.12 update. Also seen on Fedora
26, see duplicate bug 381634.

[digikam] [Bug 381697] New: Cannot remove an image whose file has already been deleted by another application

2017-06-26 Thread philippe weyland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381697

Bug ID: 381697
Summary: Cannot remove an image whose file has already been
deleted by another application
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.5.0
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Thumbnails
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: philippe.weyl...@libertysurf.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

When I try to "Move to trash" an image for which the file has already gone from
disk DK doesn't remove the image from album.
The work around I've found is to recreate that file on disk (whatever the
content), and then DK accepts to "Move to trash".
Is there a better mean ?
