[tellico] [Bug 378477] Can't see the star icon in the column view and in the entry editor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378477 --- Comment #15 from Robby Stephenson--- If I understand you correctly, I think I'm following the spirit of what you're saying. For icons which could be expected to be in the icon theme, I use QIcon::fromTheme() with the method call that falls back to a resource icon. For example, QIcon::fromTheme("checkmark", QIcon(":/icons/checkmark")). For icons which I specifically don't want to be themed, then I just use the resource call. An example there would be wine.png which represents a wine bottle in Tellico. Many themes could reasonably be expected to have an application icon for WINE instead so I wouldn't want to use the theme icon in that case. For whatever reason, the two users who reported the bug did not see the icons as installed. I could not reproduce the problem since they showed up just fine for me. I don't know if it is a Debian/Ubuntu issue or something else. If indeed this fixes the problem for those users, seems like a win/win to me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381700 Bug ID: 381700 Summary: Plamsa 5 panel crashes randomly on KDE Neon 5.10.2 Product: plasmashell Version: 5.10.2 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: eastapol...@yahoo.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Hello, the plasma 5 panel crashes randomly on KDE Neon 5.10.2. This happens with the nouveau and proprietary nvidia drivers. Here is my PC specs, hopefully this might help with the issue because others I have talked to do not have this issue so this may be a problem with my hardware, not sure. Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 CPU: AMD FX 8320 Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 950 Also I would like to add that when the panel crashes it reappears like 2 seconds later and everything works fine again but it does that all the time randomly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[neon] [Bug 381698] New: black screen at reboot after installing proprietary amdgpu-pro driver on user LTS edition
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381698 Bug ID: 381698 Summary: black screen at reboot after installing proprietary amdgpu-pro driver on user LTS edition Product: neon Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Live/Install images Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org Reporter: publicbo...@gmail.com CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Hi there, Because neon derives from ubuntu, one can install the graphic card proprietary driver from AMD on neon LTS by simply editing the install script from AMD. However the result is a black screen at reboot with last revision of kernel 4.8. I have tried also kernel 4.10 and 4.11 with no much success, although in these 2 cases, there is some output at reboot but only console. This seems to be somewhat neon specific. The same hack of the install script allows to get the amdgpu-pro driver installed on linux mint kde edition (18.1 and 18.2 beta) and KDE is up and running fine at reboot. I did not try with kubuntu or neon user non LTS edition. Would be great to investigate and get this working, I found neon LTS pretty stable during test but being unable to run the AMD proprietary driver is a no go for me (openCL) Let me know if I can help more -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
